2025: A Year in Review at Dudley Industries
As we approach the end of another year at our Lancashire factory, it feels right to pause and reflect on what has been a memorable 2025 for the Dudley Industries team. From product innovation to community initiatives, new faces to fond farewells, this year has reminded us why we love what we do.
Innovation in Action
Our product development team has been busy this year, and we're proud to have launched our Combi Recessed and In-cubicle Recessed Units. Both products have already been shortlisted for Industry Product of the Year Awards, which is wonderful recognition of the hard work and attention to detail that goes into everything we create here. We'll be sharing more on this in the new year – watch this space.
Behind the scenes, we've been working on several exciting projects that will be launching in 2026. We can't reveal too much just yet, but we're looking forward to sharing these developments with you soon.
On the contract manufacturing side, we've enjoyed working collaboratively with new clients this year, helping them bring their products from concept to reality. There's something particularly rewarding about partnering with businesses at the early stages of product development and supporting them through to a successful launch.
Supporting Our Community
This year marked a special milestone for our parent company, Rentokil Initial. Specifically, Rentokil as we celebrated its 100th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we joined forces with colleagues from our sister factory in Liverpool and teams from head office for a litter pick along Blackpool Promenade. It was a brilliant day – great company, sea air, and the satisfaction of giving something back to the local area.
We also hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning that turned into a full day of delicious treats and most importantly, fundraising for a cause close to many of our hearts. Together, we raised over £180 for Macmillan Cancer Support. You can join the movement and make a donation to Macmillan here.
Investing in Future Talent
We've always believed in supporting the next generation of engineers and manufacturers, and 2025 has been no exception. We've been involved in school careers events across the region, from mock interviews to careers evenings, helping young people understand the breadth of opportunities available within an engineering company.
We've been pleased to provide work experience for Sam Kirk as part of his T-Level Engineering Course, while George Harrison has been gaining valuable experience within our Design Team. We've already arranged work experience placements for next year too – if you're interested in finding out more, do get in touch.
Welcoming New Faces
We're delighted to have welcomed several new colleagues to the team this year. Gill Freeman has joined our Compliance Team, while Sean Bailie and Seb Winnard have strengthened our Electrical Assembly Team. We're glad to have them on board.
A Well-Earned Retirement
It wouldn't be right to look back at 2025 without acknowledging a truly significant moment for our team. After an incredible 50 years with Dudley Industries, Gary Miller has taken a well-earned retirement. Gary has been part of the fabric of this company for half a century and will be greatly missed. We wish him all the very best for this next chapter – enjoy it, Gary.
Looking Ahead
As we head into 2026, we're excited about what lies ahead. With new washroom products launching, industry awards to follow, and continued growth in our contract manufacturing partnerships, there's plenty to look forward to.
