We are looking to recruit experienced TIG welders to join our team at our production facility in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire to support our rapidly growing Contract Manufacturing division.

Start Date: An immediate start is available

Working Hours: 37 Hours (Mon- Thurs)

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Lytham St Anneas, Lancashire

Experience: Previous welding experience is essential

We operate a 37 hour working week across 4 days, Monday – Thursday. There may be opportunities for overtime dependent on customer demand. Annual leave is the equivalent of 5 working weeks plus bank holidays. Some leave is expected to be taken over the Christmas shut down period. Bookable hours of leave are calculated each year depending on how Bank Holidays fall within that year i.e. leave is not penalised by bank holidays falling on non-working days etc.

Day or Night Shifts are available to suit the right candidate.

A welding test may be required during the interview therefore, please attend wearing suitable work clothes (no shorts) and safety boots.

As our TIG welder you will be required to:

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety measures required
  • TIG weld a wide variety of materials to different levels of complexity across different product types and size
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Read and understand engineering drawings
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently without constant close supervision

We would also like you to:

  • Bring previous experience of TIG welding
  • Be coded to ISO Standards, whilst this is not essential it is preferred
  • Have experience of sheet metal engineering
  • Be self-motivated with a commitment to producing a quality output
  • Be willing to learn, take instruction and demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Manage a busy and varied workload each day as required by our customers
  • Have lean manufacturing experience and an understanding of 5S activities
  • Be a good communicator in order to receive instructions, raise issues and hand over effectively
  • Be a team player and develop good working relationships with colleagues
